I just found out about Logo television and was watching it today and decided to post a quote from one of their comedians.
"If you can be out be out. People need to know we're here. They gotta know who we are. They gotta see we're just normal people. I got into an argument with this guy at a party once and he just had a little bee in his bonnet about our pride parade. 'Why do you guys gotta have a parade for who you screw?' I said, 'because we do it that well.'"
- Jenny McNelty
I hope I got her name right, but my new goal is to come out to as many people as I can. I hope you can take the same goal with me.

"People take love for granted. When me and Hertha first come to England, we didn't know nobody, we didn't have nothing, but we have friendship. We used to say, we are like Ruth and Naomi from the Bible. Where you go I will go and where you stay I will stay. Your country will be my country, and your god will be my god."
-Rosie
This is from the movie Oh Happy Day. It's right after Hertha dies and Rosie is talking to the rest of the family. What she said really spoke to me, in and out of context, and I just wanted to share it with everyone.

Pride Necklaces
In case you couldn't tell from my previous post about gay pride t-shirts, I'm looking for some things to show off my gay pride at the pride parade this year. This time I found some necklaces and rings, among other things:

Wanda Sykes and Margaret Cho
I think that Wanda Sykes and Margaret Cho are two of my most favorite comedians. Here's some of what they say about gays and gay marriages.

Gay Pride T-shirt
I was just looking for some ideas for a shirt that I could wear to the pride parade next month and these were some pictures that I found. Enjoy:
Hospital
Last night I realized that I hate being taken to the hospital.
I was on my way home from the renaissance festival last night when the guy in front of me suddenly stopped and I tried to stop but didn't have enough time so I ended up running in to him. After I told my dad that I had a small headache he had me taken to the hospital. They put a neck brace on me and strapped me to a board before putting me in the ambulance. Then in there they put the IV in me, which made me really nervous since we were in a moving vehicle. I also couldn't see where we were going since I was staring at the ceiling the entire time, which was really unnerving. Then, when I was at the hospital they wouldn't let me walk anywhere on my own. They wheeled me around in that stupid bed thing. Also the IV was really irritating. I couldn't move my arm or I could feel it moving inside me (how ironic). When I got back home I realized that I was really slow. I guess that's from a combination of the recent adrenaline rush that I had had and the pain killers that the doctors had given me. Nonetheless, I'm ok now (thank goodness).

"My Pants Don't Fit Anymore"
During one of our performances of Runaways this weekend (the last performance of which was today) one of my friends told me that her pants don't fit her anymore. Usually this would be a bad thing for someone to realize, and that's how it sounded when it came out of her mouth. However, in Runaways there is so much dancing that it's hard to gain any weight during that show. What she was actually saying is that her pants were becoming too big for her.
I found this perception of life interesting. Usually we look at what is going wrong in our life instead of looking at it in a better light. The smallest twist in the situation can alter our perception of it, but it's our perceptions that we can alter in the first place. All we need to do is have enough want to look at everything in a good light and our perceptions will be altered to see just that.

Dreams
My English teacher told me about a dream she had last night where some of her yoga teachers merged into one and gave her a call. All they said, however, was "No answer!" I asked her if there was a question to be answered and she said yes, but that she couldn't remember what the question was. After a small investigation I figured out that she actually asks her higher being a question before falling asleep and often gets answers, however unclear those might be. I found that to be extremely interesting and decided that from now on I will ask my own higher being a question before going to bed every night.
Have a wonderful Wednesday night.
